Thulani Sibisi is one of South Africa's great marathon runners from the 80's and he is best remembered for  winning The Two Oceans marathon in 1986. He is also one of the founders of the Soweto Marathon. His life changed dramatically when he was diagnosed and treated for prostate cancer and he has since committed his energy to educating men about the condition. For the past few years he has worked tirelessly as an ambassador for The Prostate Cancer Foundation. He uses every platform available to him to ensure that men get the message about the importance of screening to ensure early detection.

His appointment to the position of vice-chairman patient affairs is well deserved.
